Because twenty takes too long. The Pandora station of the day is Instrumental Music. Whee!

01] Explosions in the Sky – Your Hand in Mine
02] The Six Parts Seven – In a Late Style of Fire
03] The Postal Service – Such Great Heights (Pandora doesn’t take direction well.)
04] El Ten Eleven – Music for Staring at Ceilings
05] Explosions in the Sky – What Do You Go Home To?
06] Brookhaven – Black Phase
07] Always the Runner – Lets See if You Bastards Can Do 90!
08] Death Cab for Cutie – Marching Bands of Manhattan
09] Mum – K / Half Noise
10] Sigur Ros – Hafsol

I spend a lot of time going back and forth about Pandora. On the one hand, it’s a great way to hear new artists and expand your musical horizons. It’s also great for dilettantes like me — I don’t have to listen to any one artist long enough to get sick of them. On the other hand, if you’re in the mood for one particular song, artist, or genre of music, it can be almost impossible to get it to appear in the queue. (You’re better off YouTubing for a video.) And god forbid you rate up one decent country song, you’ll be drowning in Merle Haggard before you know it. There is no way to select for only the good ’80s songs. Sad.

Mark your calendars, kids.

Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said Wednesday that 2008 will be a year of violence worldwide and a recession in the United States, followed by a major stock-market crash by 2010.

…whee?

Of course, a bit of googlefu shows that his past predictions, shockingly, haven’t generally come true.

Man. That God is such a liar.

(PS. Totally what I want from CNN: Beauty Tips. Thanks, guys! Reminding me to spend time with my hot rollers is totally more important than, y’know, reporting the news.)

Hello world!

This is just a test. If this were a real post, you would see content. (Well, ok. That’s up for debate.)

I repeat, this is just a test.

PS.  Mind the dust.
